Technology

Most recently IQUIP brought advanced dry-suction excavation technology (ADSET) to the Midwest.

ADSET leads the way in excavation technology. There’s no denying that suction excavation is proven to be a faster, safer, cleaner, and smarter method of excavation when compared to traditional tools like the backhoe, trencher or auger, but it does so without the use of water.

Faster

One suction excavation truck replaces work that used to be done by many, and the whole job is simplified. The process on site is up to 12X faster, so overall costs are significantly reduced.

Safer

The suction is powerful enough to pull up all debris to expose targeted area, but “gentle” enough to prevent damage to utilities or cabling – especially important where the location of underground features are unknown. Worker injuries are reduced with less material handling and slip and fall hazards. Public safety is improved with more contained site areas, shorter project durations and lower noise levels.

Cleaner

Excavated material, including liquid or potentially hazardous waste, is moved directly into sealed containers on truck, so airborne dust and dirt are eliminated and the material traditionally on the ground nearby no longer poses a hazard or requires time for cleanup.

Smarter

North American industry is facing big challenges today with the tightening restrictions on transport and the increased costs to move waste material for disposal. Dry suction excavation makes for lighter transportation weights on the road because it doesn’t use water to excavate, so there’s no water added to the waste load. Disposal costs are also reduced because the process is simplified – materials are already separated. These are crucial advancements that no other mobile units today achieve.
